Pre-mortem
Legacy Planning
From the moment you take your first breath, you begin writing the story of your life. Your words, feelings, and actions. All the people you have met, loved, and lost. Memories, achievements, regrets. All are ingredients in your unique story. A legacy project allows you to culminate your memories and experiences into one project (or more). Legacy projects can include creating a memory book/photo album, recording stories for those you will be leaving behind, organizing a fundraiser, or donating books to a library. We will work with you to develop a legacy project to honor your life and journey.
Living funeral
Think about the last funeral you attended. Traditionally, mourning people gather around their deceased loved one, laying in a box, sharing stories and talking about all the positive attributes of the person who has passed on. Wouldn’t it be great if that person could partake in reminiscing with loved ones and hear about how they touched others’ lives while they were still living? A living funeral allows for just that. We will work with you to create the ceremony you’ve dreamt of, while celebrating your life and legacy with those most important to you.
Funeral & Disposition Planning
Have your say and go out your way! We will help you plan your ideal funeral to ensure your life is honored. We can also help guide you in writing your own obituary, memorial, and ritual service. Don’t let someone else tell your story. Many people also do not know the options available in not only the type of funeral they can have. but also it what happens to their remains. There are so many options available other than the standard stuffy funeral home, embalming, and burial. We will work with you to develop a death plan that feels true to you.
Grief Support
Grief can occur at any time and for any reason. You may have anticipatory grief over the loss of a loved one that has not occurred yet. Or you may be grieving the loss of someone for decades. Life transitions other than death such as relationship dissolution, chronic illness, job loss, can also result in grieving. Perhaps you may be experiencing grief over environmental disasters, human rights crises, or the state of the world in general. One thing is for certain, you will not need to sit alone in your grief. Whether you need to seek community in collective grief sessions, a safe and knowing ear to unload your thoughts, or just a compassionate presence to sit with you in your grief, we are here.

Death Education
One of the most uncomfortable and frightening things about death is not knowing what to expect. How should you interact with your loved one? Are they experiencing pain or hunger? How can you make sure they are comfortable? We will provide education on expectations as the body is making it’s transition and empower you to connect with your loved one until the end.
Sitting Vigil
Death can be scary, death for sure is exhausting. A comforting a compassionate presence is often needed for the person transitioning as well as their loved ones. At the active dying stage, we are able to provide support for all participants. We help to set up the environment to be the most comfortable and meaningful for your loved one as they prepare to make their exit. We will also provide support for you and any other loved ones in any ways you need. This can include holding rituals, sitting quietly with you, sharing in your grief, or even running errands. After your loved one has taken their final breath, we will assist in ceremonial cleaning and dressing of the body as desired.
